Another year of our activity is coming to an end. It was the most difficult year in the recent period of our association and publishing activities. From the first quarter, we operated under the constant threat of the coronavirus epidemic, which affected all countries of the world to varying degrees, disrupting their economies and practically all areas of activity.

The coronavirus epidemic has caused great material and social losses and continues despite the passage of time. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the promised effective vaccines that will stop the epidemic and help reactivate the economy and everyday life. However, it will not happen earlier than in the first half of the upcoming 2021. Until then, we will continue to operate in the pandemic reality, observing the restrictions resulting from the relevant regulations. With this in mind, the annual founders’ holiday – the National Foundry Day, which traditionally took place in December, was moved to the end of the first quarter of 2021. So far, the year 2020 is ending and we are closing it with the Foundry Review (Przegląd Odlewnictwa) No. 11–12 / 2020.
