The economies of the world are becoming increasingly bold in their growth path, using the potential of technology, automation and green transformation. In Poland, many industries – including foundry – have proven to be able to adapt effectively to changing conditions, strengthening their position through innovation and cooperation.
In the issue of the Przegląd Odlewnictwa (Foundry Review) summarizing last year we present a set of articles showing a wide spectrum of challenges and achievements of the industry.

The next text is devoted to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the upcoming definitive phase – the author discusses the key obligations that will determine the activities of importers from 2026 onwards.
We also invite you to read an extensive interview on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Silum Sp. z o.o. (Ltd.), in which the founders talk about the development of a company based on family values and Polish capital.
The subject of cooperation between science and industry develops another material – a conversation with representatives of the Lodz University of Technology and Silum Sp. z o.o. (Ltd.), showing how academic knowledge actually strengthens production processes and innovation.
There was also a wide analysis of the condition of the Polish foundry industry in the years 2023-2024, which prevailed in the industry trends and challenges, mainly environmental ones.
