The end of the summer holidays was very warm and sunny, although it was accompanied by brief violent storms and heavy rainfall. In spite of these surprises, the summer passed, as usual, far too quickly. Holidaymakers will remember their holiday memories and we hope that they will return to their daily duties charged with positive energy.
For children, it’s daily school activities, for adults it’s more professional activities, and for foundrymen, among other things, it’s more trade fairs, congresses, conferences and industry seminars….
The foundry industry will begin autumn in Kielce, where the METAL International Trade Fair of Technologies for Foundry Industries will be held on 24–25 September 2024.
METAL is one of the leading events of the foundry industry in Europe. It will celebrate the 25th edition of the event this autumn. It is the largest meeting of the foundry industry in Poland. The METAL International Trade Fair of Technologies for Foundry Industries will be one of several events organized as part of the Industrial Autumn at Targi Kielce, which also includes the CONTROL-TECH Trade Fair of Industrial Measurement Technology and Non-Destructive Testing, the HEAT TREATMENT Trade Fair, the ALUMINIUM & NONFERMET International Trade Fair of Aluminum, Technology, Materials and Non-Ferrous Metals, and the RECYCLING Trade Fair for Non-Ferrous Metals. Polish and global companies from the foundry industry will come to Kielce.
On 25–30 October 2024, the next 75th World Foundry Congress will take place. This year’s edition will take place in China, and the main organizers are a member of WFO – Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES). The congress will also be attended by a Polish delegation consisting of 33 people, representatives of Polish scientific and research institutions, universities, enterprises and the Technical Association of Polish Foundrymen.
The World Foundry Congress is the most important global event of the foundry industry, which is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience of specialists from all over the world, industry representatives and scientific and research centers. Its priority goal is to present the latest achievements in the field of broadly understood foundry, as well as to build international scientific and business contacts, all under the patronage of the World Foundry Organization – WFO.
In autumn, the association will also begin preparations for the National Foundryman’s Day 2024, which will traditionally conclude and summarize the past year in the foundry industry. We are already inviting you to participate in this event, which this year will be organized under the heading “We count for foundry industry”.
