Dear Readers,
Summer is coming to an end – for many of us it was a time of relaxation, getting together with loved ones and moments of respite from our daily routines. However, holidays are not just about holidays and summer travel. It is also a busy period for industry and the economy which – despite the seasonal slowdown in some sectors – do not stop for a moment. September is a natural time to take stock, but also set new goals and directions for the coming months.
The International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, which annually attract the attention of the business, political and military world, is of particular importance in the economic and industrial calendar. It is a place where innovation meets practice, and where cutting-edge technologies are given a real dimension in the context of security and international cooperation. This year’s edition will also be attended by the Technical Association of Polish Founders which aims to find new markets and contractors for the Polish foundry industry. Participation in the event will allow foundries to reach key representatives of the defence industry, including manufacturers of weapons, military equipment and defence components, who are looking for high-quality castings and innovative solutions. We are convinced that local foundries can become not only suppliers to the Polish defence industry, but also valuable partners for foreign contractors. Therefore, with a view to building relationships with key sectors of the economy – including the defence sector, we are co-organiser of the meeting „Collaboration between Polish foundries and the defence industry” together with representatives of the Polish Armaments Group. The meeting is organised during MSPO 2025, and Przegląd Odlewnictwa is the Media Partner for the event. We will report on this meeting in our next issue.
The months ahead are full of challenges and opportunities. Autumn and winter are the times when priorities shift towards implementing new projects, intensifying cooperation with partners and preparing for next year’s investments. This is also the period when it is worth taking advantage of the experience and contacts gained at the fair in order to translate them into concrete business actions.
In the upcoming issues of our magazine, we will share with you the most important news from the industry, present development perspectives and inspire you to actively participate in building the future of the industry and the economy. We will also invite you to participate in further events of importance to the foundry industry and organised by the Association or our partners.
We are already reminding you that the most important national event of the foundry industry, the National Foundry Day 2025, will take place on 12 December in Krakow.
